How does EVA work?

How does EVA work ?

With a dynamic tariff, EVA responds to day ahead energy prices. EVA will automatically draw energy from the grid at the cheapest times to recharge the battery. When the price is negative, you even get a compensation when you inject or withdraw energy. When you battery is full and the price is highest, EVA can then consume energy from the battery to avoid the high cost.

EVA takes into account the capacity rate and automatically calculates whether to do peakshaving or not. Here, it takes into account energy prices and the average peak to make the right decision.

With EVA, your battery becomes not just an energy storage facility, but an active player in optimising your consumption. So you get the most out of your energy storage and reduce your costs by responding smartly to dynamic tariffs. In other words, EVA makes your battery smart.

Curtailment means limiting PV (solar panel) generation when there are negative electricity prices. By generating less during negative prices, you avoid injection costs and only enjoy the benefits of the dynamic energy contract. This smart management helps you further optimise your energy costs.
